Beef in Cream Sauce

This is one of my favorite beef dishes.
It's so  easy to make and it's oozing with flavor.
Try it now ☺

You will need:
  • 500 grams beef, sliced thinly approximately ¼ inch
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or 3 pieces medium calamansi
  • 1½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine
  • 1 piece medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • ½ cup milk (evaporated milk will do)
  • 1 piece beef broth cube

Preparation:

Step 1: Marinate beef with lemon or calamansi juice and soy sauce for 30 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2: Drain the beef from the marinade. Reserve marinating fluid. Set aside.

Step 3: Heat butter or margarine in a pan and pan-fry beef pieces until brown. Add onion.
Sprinkle flour and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4: Add water and marinating fluid to the pan. Simmer until beef is tender. Add more
              water if needed.

Step 5: Add milk and drop beef broth cube. Mix well and simmer for 2 minutes.

Step 6: Serve warm with hot rice or top over cooked pasta.
