Peanut Polvoron

The Christmas season usually makes me crave something sweet.
And for quite sometime now, I'm craving polvoron.
Polvoron is a type of heavy, soft and very crumbly shortbread
made of flour, sugar, and milk;
with variants include polvoron with cashew nuts,
polvoron with pinipig, polvoron with peanuts, and chocolate polvoron.
I made mine with peanuts.
The recipe yields 14-16 pieces and we finished it all.
Safe to say, my Hubby and I loved it! ☺
Advance Merry Christmas everyone!

Tamarind-Glazed Chicken Stir-fry

I always thought tamarind seasoning mix is only for sinigang
but this recipe I adapted from the October 2011 issue of Yummy Magazine
totally proved me wrong.
I made this delish dish for lunch and the mix of flavors is truly a winner.
My Hubby liked it and its the newest addition to my
Hubby's Favorite Menu list.
Make it yours too! ☺

Pan-seared Chicken with Oregano and Lemon

These luscious oregano leaves grow abundantly in our garden.
It's been a while now that i'm actually thinking of using them for marinade
so when I saw this recipe from the October 2011 issue of Yummy magazine
I decided to make it.
The recipe actually calls for dried oregano but I used the fresh ones.
The rich flavor of lemon and oregano worked well with the chicken.
My Hubby totally liked it!

Vegeroni Pasta Italiana

Eating pasta in different shapes is fun.
Not only for kids but (i have to admit) for me, too.
In this pasta dish, I used vegeroni pasta shapes
and the blend of onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes for my meat sauce.
Happy Eating! ☺
