My uncle makes very good sisig. Everytime he's around, I would always ask him to make me his "sisig". He has his own style of making it... pork, tofu, mayonnaise... whew, just thinking about it already makes me hungry. Anyway, there are lots of variations for this dish. This recipe calls for tuna. We'll be making a traditional sisig with fish.
- 500g Tuna, minced or snips
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
- ¼ cup Soy sauce
- 3 tablespoon Calamansi or lemon juice
- Green finger chilies (siling-haba), sliced
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
Step 1: Marinate tuna in soy sauce, calamansi juice and pepper
for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: After marinating the tuna, add chopped onions and garlic.
Step 3: Heat sizzling plate. Put oil. Pour tuna mixture on the
hot plate. Stir fry. Wait until cooked and becomes brown.
Step 4: Add in chilies on top. Serve immediately.
