Vegetable Tempura

Tempura is a Japanese dish of seafood or vegetables that has been battered and deep-fried. If you're trying to make your own vegetable tempura at home, this is one easy recipe you should try.

You will need:
  • 1 cup Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Mixed Veggies, any kind cut into serving portions (in this
photo I used onions, carrots, potatoes, eggplant, and
         string beans)
    Oil for frying

Preparation:

Step 1: Combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Slowly
add the oil and water until smooth and creamy. Chill for
        at least 15 minutes.

Step 2: Heat oil in a pan over high heat. Dip the vegetables in
the batter, then drop in the oil. Allow to cook for about
3 minutes or until crisp and golden brown. Drain on paper
        towels.
