For my Hubby and I, any day of the week is Pasta Day.
We just looooooooove Pasta ♥
This week, we opted for meatless sauce,
Pomodoro Sauce.
Like marinara sauce, pomodoro sauce is made from tomatoes,
garlic, olive oil, and basil.
Only difference is, pomodoro sauce is somewhat thicker.
Here is an easy, simple recipe I adapted from Del Monte Kitchenomics.

You will need:
- 200 grams Spaghetti, cooked according to package directions; Drained
- 10 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 1 piece medium Onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried Basil (or 25 pieces fresh basil leaves, snipped)
- 1 (250g) pouch Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce
- ¼ teaspoon fine salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Preparation:
Step 1: Saute garlic and onion in olive oil for 2 minutes.
Step 2: Add basil and saute for 1 minute.
Step 3: Add spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Pour over or mix with cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, if desired.
