Chicken Fingers with Honey Mustard Sauce

This is my classic favorite.
The bittersweet and sour taste of honey mustard sauce
is the perfect complement
for this home-style chicken fingers.
Pair it with fries, buttered corn, or pasta
and you'll have yourself a meal.

You will need:
  • 2 chicken breast fillets, skin off, and cut into finger-like strips
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (i used panko or Japanese breadcrumbs)
  • red cayenne pepper (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • cooking oil for deep-frying

>> for Honey Mustard sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
-  Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Cover and chill until ready to use.

Preparation:

Step 1: In a bowl, season flour with salt and pepper. In another bowl to the right of the flour
bowl, place the egg. In another bowl to the right of the egg bowl, place the
breadcrumbs (seasoned with cayenne pepper if you want a little kick).

Step 2: Roll each chicken strip in flour and dust off the excess, then dip the chicken in the
egg (coating it all around), then in the breadcrumbs.

Step 3: Deep-fry each chicken strip until crisp and golden. Serve with honey mustard sauce.
