Farfalle Livornese

farfalle livornese

I found this Italian recipe in my Good Housekeeping Magazine.

I always wanna try something new with pasta.
The fun-to-eat shape of the bowtie pasta (farfelle),
and the classic tangy and spicy flavor of livornese
is simply irresistible.
Plus, it easy to prepare... we have a winner!
Perfect for weekend dinner.

Chicken Bolognese

Bolognese is an Italian meat-based sauce, typically beef
pancetta, onions, carrots, tomato paste, and red wine.
Since this dish calls for chicken...
this popular Italian entreé will have a different twist.

Pan-Fried Chicken in Creamy Gravy

My Hubby is kinda hesitant when he heard the word "gravy"
but when he found out it was milk...
still a little hesitant, but he said "we'll give it a try".
And after him tasting this dish, it's now a part of my
"Favorites Go-to" menu.
Hope you'll like it the way we did. Enjoy!

Pan-Fried Grouper with Lemon Butter Sauce and Corn Salsa

Honestly, Fish 'n Chips (English) and Fillet 'o Fish (McDonalds)
are the only two fish dishes my hubby eats.
So it became a challenge for me to figure out
how to convince him to eat more fish.
And I did!
I guess the mix of lemon and butter in this dish did the trick.
Now, its added to the menu ☺

Melon Baller: What else can it do?

melon baller is a kitchen utensil
which is designed to scoop out spherical chunks of melon
There are actually a number of uses for a good melon baller,

Fruity Icebox Cake

From the very first time I made this, my dad loved it.
It became one of his favorite desserts.
Now, I have to make two batches every time...
One for him, and One for the rest of us.
Luckily, its easy to make
so no matter how many batches...

Chili Garlic Prawns

Me and my Hubby are in our Seafood Mood yesterday
so I made this dish.
The combination of the garlic and chili flavors
complement the prawns perfectly.
Nothing to worry... the chilies are not really "fiery"
just a little "kick"... that's the trick ☺

Store it Right!

We love to throw house parties.
but after all the guests leave,
 we face the sorting out,
cleaning and clearing part of the day. Usually, we're tempted to just throw everything in the fridge.

Left-over food? Post-party dilemma!
What should you do?

Cannonballs

These are tasty munch-on treats that kids can easily make.

Creamy Fruit Salad

This is the very first dessert my mom has taught me how to make.
I remember when I was younger, every time my mom would prepare this,
 I'm always there beside her.
She would slice everything up, open the cans or boxes
and then let me do the best part...
putting 'em all together and mixing 'em all up!
T'was so much fun ☺
